Today’s Good News
Second Precinct
Officer Todd Hall
was the first officer on scene at a recent shooting on the Southside, but he
went above and beyond the routine response upon seeing the man’s injuries.
After making sure the scene was secure and noticing that ambulance personnel
had not yet arrived, he examined the man’s injury and immediately applied a
tourniquet to stop the bleeding. Once ambulance authorities arrived, he found a
person to translate for the victim, who only spoke Spanish, and learned that he
had been shot during an attempted robbery. Thanks to Officer Hall’s efforts, he
was able to get a good description of the shooter and the getaway vehicle as
well as locate several witnesses. Good work Officer Hall!
