Candlelit jack-o'-lanterns should be kept away from landings and doorsteps where costumes could brush against the flame. Fourth Precinct Officer Robert Jamison recently responded to 3rd and West Franklin streets for an armed robbery. After he broadcast the suspects’ descriptions, VCU Police spotted and detained a suspect nearby. Fourth Precinct Detective Margaret Cunningham investigated, interviewed the suspect and charged him with armed robbery. Good teamwork!
