Today’s Good News
Kudos
to First Precinct Detective Brian Taylor
who was named the Department’s Problem
Solver of the Month for August! Detective Taylor is relentless in his investigation of robberies,
and he isn’t deterred when a victim can’t identify a suspect in a lineup, as
was the case during one investigation last month.
When the victim’s stolen credit cards were
used in Charlottesville, Detective Taylor worked with local police there to
gather surveillance images and identify possible suspects with ties to
Richmond. His efforts paid off when they were able to search a residence and
find evidence linking three suspects to two robberies in Richmond and a
commercial robbery in Charlottesville. All three men were arrested and the
investigations are continuing in both jurisdictions. This is just one example
of the great work Detective Taylor does in First Precinct. Thank you and
congratulations Detective Brian Taylor!
