Today’s Good News

Officers are trained to be observant in all situations, and especially when they’re responding to calls for service. Thanks to the good observation of Second Precinct Officer Benito Frias, two men were recently charged with firearm violations. Officer Frias was responding to a call for random gunfire in the 100 block of Dundee Avenue when he noticed two men walking nearby. He got out to speak with the men and noticed both appeared nervous and smelled of alcohol. After further investigation, he discovered both were concealing handguns, one had outstanding warrants and he arrested them both. Good work Officer Frias!
