Today’s Good News
First Precinct
Officers Kevin Hyde and Stephen Butler recently stopped a man walking in the middle
of the road in the East End. For safety reasons, they asked if he had any
illegal drugs on him and the man handed over a marijuana cigarette. When the
officers told him they needed to pat him down for their safety as well, the man
took off running, but was quickly caught and detained. A further search of the
man’s person revealed 51 units of cocaine as well as an illegal handgun as the
man is a convicted felon. Officers then charged the man with several felonies
related to firearms and drug possession. Good work officers!
