Today’s Good News
Third Precinct Officer Michael Kiniry recently noticed a man pushing a trash can down the street around 5:30 a.m. and stopped to talk with him. Though the man claimed the can was his, the can was cleared marked with an address from another neighborhood. With the assistance of Officers Kenneth Harris Jr. and Gary Venable, Officer Kiniry discovered several laptops, extension cords, documents and other tools inside the trash can and was able to connect them back to a business that they determined had been broken into just hours earlier a short distance away. After further investigation, they charged the man with burglary, grand larceny, possession of burglary tools and petit larceny. Good work!
