Interested in volunteering with us? Become a Neighborhood Assistance Officer! As an NAO, you will help out officers at scenes ranging from traffic and crowd control to checkpoint operations to finding missing persons and many other situations for which trained volunteers are critical. The NAO is a uniformed, volunteer member of the Department who assists officers in non-enforcement duties as requested. Volunteers must be at least 21 years old, possess a valid driver’s license, pass a background check and be in reasonable physical condition.
