Today’s Good News
With the assistance of a parked vehicle, several
officers recently made a quick arrest of an armed robbery suspect in the Fan
neighborhood. Just before midnight, Third Precinct Officer Keri Buyalos
responded to a convenience store, gathered information and broadcast the
description of the man who had just robbed the store at gunpoint. Minutes
later, K-9 Officer Monty Agee and K-9 Phantom spotted the suspect riding
his bike on Shields Avenue and ordered him to stop.
The man kept going
and collided with a parked car before then taking off on foot. With the help of
other officers, Officer Agee safely arrested the man. After further
investigation by Officer Michael Lockard and Detective Patrick Ripley,
the man was identified by the victim and charged with robbery and use of a
firearm during the commission of a felony. Good work officers and thanks for
the assist stationary vehicle!
