Today’s Good News
Kudos
to Communications Officer Leslie Brown who was named the Department’s Communications Officer of the Month for November!
Last month CO Brown answered more than 400 service calls for RPD, EMS, Fire
and Public Works with an average entry time of 22 seconds. With her speed and
accuracy, she is consistently a top performer for her shift.
One
example of her excellent and professional actions occurred Nov. 25 when she and
her fellow communications officer began receiving several calls about a male
threatening to take his own life. Though the calls initially appeared to be
fake, three hours of intense searching eventually revealed the man’s location
and he was safely taken into custody and taken to the hospital for treatment.
CO Brown did an incredible job of listening to orders and processing
information from different coworkers, units, other agencies and supervisors.
She is always a stellar performer on the radio. Thank you, and congratulations Communications
Officer Leslie Brown!
