Today’s Good News
Third
Precinct Officers Dustin Holmes and Duane Osbourne recently responded to a residence on Midlothian Turnpike to investigate
possible illegal drug activity. As they approached, they could immediately
smell a strong odor of marijuana, and asked the occupant if they could search
the room. Their search yielded more than three pounds of marijuana, loaded
firearms, ammunition, cash, drug packaging materials and other illegal drugs. After further investigation with the assistance of Focus Mission Team Officer Ben Frazer, the occupant was arrested and charged with felony possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of a Schedule II substance, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm while in possession of certain substances and possession of ammunition by a convicted felon. Thank you, officers, for removing illegal items from the street and making the neighborhood safer for those who live and work there.
