March 18 – March 19, 2014

Today’s Good News
Sometimes it’s that extra follow through and solid teamwork that solves the case! That’s exactly what happened earlier this month when Second Precinct Officer Farrhard El-Amin responded to investigate a burglary on Stockton Street. After speaking with the victim and canvassing neighbors to see if they had seen anything suspicious near the residence, Officer El-Amin received a tip about a possible suspect and his location. He quickly responded and detained the man for questioning.

When asked about the crime, the man gave Officer El-Amin conflicting stories so Officer El-Amin transported him to the precinct for further investigation. With the assistance of Detective Mark Hatchett, who relayed information that further implicated the suspect, Officer El-Amin was able to charge the man with burglary and grand larceny. Good work Officer El-Amin and Detective Hatchett!
