March 19 – March 20, 2014

Today’s Good News
Major Crimes detectives recently wrote to commend several Second Precinct officers who helped them quickly find a man wanted in connection to an abduction and extortion investigation. Within hours of detectives identifying the suspect and broadcasting his description, Second Precinct Sergeant Frank Scarpa received information from a source concerning the man’s whereabouts.

He then coordinated with K-9 Officer Fred Bates, Second Precinct Sergeant Scott Leonard and Officers Kent Smith, Jason Pritchett, Joe Dillon, Justin Sumpter and Brian Rogers to safely take the man into custody at a hotel on Midlothian Turnpike. Good work officers!
