Today’s Good News
Kudos
to Officer Julio Rodriguez who was
named Second Precinct’s Officer of the
Month for February! It was a busy month for Officer Rodriguez! In addition
to making five felony arrests and 13 misdemeanor arrests, he served four
warrants, issued 18 traffic summons, assisted on 21 calls and responded to 92
sight calls and 52 radio calls.
Officer
Rodriguez is well known to the citizens in the neighborhoods he patrols. He
does this by getting out of his car and speaking with the residents every
chance he gets. His presence and these strong relationships have helped reduce
robberies and assaults. Officer Rodriguez also offers to translate for other
officers who do not speak Spanish, which allows the correct information to be
gathered and builds trust. He often volunteers for directed patrol assignments
and has attended several classes to further his law enforcement knowledge and
skills. One example is that he will soon be attending the Mid-Atlantic DUI
Conference in Virginia Beach. Congratulations and thank you, Officer Julio
Rodriguez!
