Today’s Good News
Kudos
to Officer Aaron Henning who was
named Fourth Precinct’s Officer of the
Month for July! Officer
Henning had an incredibly proactive month, but often goes beyond his regular
duties to help solve crimes and make arrests. For example, last month he came
into contact with several people who were tagging several downtown buildings
with graffiti.
Thanks to his attention to detail and
follow-up investigation, he was able to identify and arrest one individual for
the vandalism of 19 properties in the Jackson Ward and Monroe Ward areas. But
he didn’t stop there. During a traffic stop in which he recovered a firearm, he
investigated further and learned that the driver was a convicted felon,
resulting in more charges and the removal of an illegal gun from city streets. Thank
you and congratulations to Officer Aaron Henning!
