Aug. 19 – Aug. 20, 2013

Today’s Good News
Thanks to the speedy response and good observation skills of VCU Police, Third Precinct and Fourth Precinct officers and detectives, a pair of men who committed five armed robberies in two hours downtown were indicted on several charges earlier this month. Kudos to our patrol officers who gathered the details of the suspects and their vehicle the night of the robberies. Kudos to VCU Police who spotted and stopped the suspects’ vehicle. And kudos to Fourth Precinct Detective Richard Thomas who worked tirelessly over many nights, days and weekends to investigate and connect each case. The suspects were also indicted for similar crimes in Chesterfield County. Good work everyone!
