Today’s Good News

Just before 2 a.m. recently, First Precinct Officers Kelly Morley and Tori Wilson heard a loud banging noise on Ambler Street and went to investigate. As they pulled up, they saw two men running down the street and gave chase on foot. The men ran through an alley, into the woods and over the railroad tracks before doubling back, trying to evade the officers, but they couldn’t hide from K-9 Phantom! As they officers called for backup, Sgt. Kenneth Peterson and K-9 Officer Monty Agee and K-9 Phantom responded and advised the men to stop running. When the men ignored the officers, K-9 Phantom sought the suspects out and safely made one apprehension. Though the second suspect escaped, the first suspect was charged with destruction of private property, resisting arrest and tampering with a vehicle. The investigation remains ongoing. Good work all!
