Kudos
to Officer George Soongnarata who
was named Fourth Precinct’s Officer of
the Month for May! Officer Soongnarata is an instrumental evening shift
officer who likes to stay busy. Last month, he answered 154 radio calls,
assisted on 25 other calls and initiated 18 sight calls. He recently focused on
field interview reports to note suspicious individuals in a particular area. By
the end of the month, he led his sector by compiling 52 FIRs.
Another
example of his professionalism and dedication to duty was his response with
another officer to a possible suicide attempt. After gathering information
about the individual, he responded to the residence and decided to enter the
home given the exigent circumstances. They found the victim unconscious in the
bathtub and pulled her out before turning her over to Fire and EMS to perform
medical services. That woman is alive and well today thanks in part to his
efforts. Thank you and congratulations to Officer George Soongnarata!
