Today’s Good News
After noticing a recent uptick in moped thefts in the Museum District, Third Precinct Officer William McAuliffe concentrated his efforts on investigating each incident and identifying the suspects. He was actively following up on a lead when a call came in about a moped theft in progress on Cutshaw Avenue. He was on scene within seconds and immediately found two suspects trying to leave the scene. After a short chase, he had them both in handcuffs.
The information developed from this incident was a great help in developing leads for several crimes in the area. Had it not been for his determination and persistence that night, there likely would have been more victims. Keep up the great work Officer McAuliffe!
