Today’s Good News

Two tons of automobile can be hard to stop – especially when the driver is determined to flee a scene of an accident – but that is just what Third Precinct Officers Corwyn Booker, Duane Osbourne and Dustin Holmes faced recently. After officers witnessed a hit and run, they also saw the suspect vehicle continue to drive along the sidewalk leaving the scene. Officers quickly closed the distance and attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver refused. With the use of the police cruiser and with two officers out of their vehicle to challenge the operator, the driver finally stopped and was arrested. Courageous work!
