Kudos
to Communications Officer Robin Pierce who was named the Department’s Communications Officer of the Month for October!
CO Pierce is one of the stars at DEC. Her infectious personality, terrific
capability and willingness to help pitch in and help out make her such a
valuable team player to the Division of Communications. In October, she answered 265 police calls in addition to 5 Public
Works, 46 EMS and 29 Fire calls with an average dispatch time of just 7.6
seconds.
All
her skills were put to the test Oct. 15 when she received a call for a fight in
progress inside a building. She dispatched two units immediately, and as the
units arrived, she notified them of other fights breaking out nearby. It was incredibly
busy – other units were dispatched - but CO Pierce kept her cool. As her
supervisor says, “CO Pierce is a stellar performer on the radio, always at her
best.” Congratulations for CO Robin Pierce – our Communications Officer of the
Month for October!
