Today’s Good News
Usually when you open a box of Prada shoes,
it’s a treat for your feet, but as three
Fourth Precinct officers recently discovered, there was another type of
surprise inside such a box during a recent search. A vehicle driving recklessly
in Gilpin Court initially caught the attention of Officers Austin Darnell, Benjamin Neifeld and Justin Hall so they
stopped the vehicle and asked to search it after speaking with the occupants.
As Officer Austin interviewed the driver who
was driving on a suspended license, Officer Hall found and opened the shoe box,
discovering several large chunks of suspected cocaine. The officers also found
more than $12,000 in one of the individual’s pockets. Both driver and passenger
were arrested and charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute.
Good work officers!
