Today’s Good News
Second Precinct Officers Larry Boxley and
Charles Battle may have been in the middle of eating lunch
recently, but that didn’t stop them from jumping into action when they
witnessed a vehicle run a red light, strike a moped driver and leave the scene.
Officer Battle tended to the victim while Officer Boxley jumped into his
vehicle and followed the driver. With the assistance of Officers Jerry
Scarborough and James Jackson, the driver was stopped and taken into
custody. After further investigation by Traffic Unit Officer Debbie Burgess,
the man was charged with hit and run, driving on a suspended license,
disregarding a red light and several other outstanding warrants. Good work
officers!
