Today’s Good News
Third Precinct Officer Manual Reyes recently responded to the area of Midlothian Turnpike and Carnation Street for a report of an armed robbery and a person shot. While en route to the scene, he also received a call about a burglary suspect in the same area who had been scared off and possibly cut his hand during the attempt. Officer Reyes quickly made the connection between the two calls and requested an officer go to the hospital where the “shooting” victim was being checked out. With the assistance of Detective Patrick Ripley, the man was detained for further investigation. The man quickly confessed to committing three burglaries in the area as well as breaking into a vehicle. Items found on his person also connected him to several other burglaries. Good work officers!
