Today’s Good News
Kudos
to Fourth Precinct Detective Margaret
Cunningham who was named the Department’s Problem Solver of the Month for September! When different groups of burglars
kept breaking into homes in the Bellevue neighborhood last month, it was she
who found different ways to monitor, identify and arrest the offenders. In the first cluster of burglaries, Detective Cunningham only had
the use of a stolen credit card, but that was enough to lead her to
surveillance video and then identifying the suspects. Though she couldn’t
charge the pair with as many crimes as she suspected them of, crime dropped off
significantly after their arrest.
During the second and third cluster of
burglaries in a nearby neighborhood, Detective Cunningham worked with officers
to develop and arrest the suspects as well as increased surveillance and
patrols. This great work is just part for the course for the dedicated
Detective Cunningham. Thank you and congratulations!
