Today’s Good News
Fourth Precinct Officer Jill Simons recently responded to Westwood Avenue to investigate a burglary and as she approached, she saw a man inside the business. When the man saw her, he ducked down a hallway inside. Officer Simons then stationed herself outside one corner of the building, not knowing which way he would exit the building, while she waited for backup. Minutes later, the man walked right out of the door in front of her. With the assistance of other officers, they safely took him into custody. After further investigation by K-9 Officer Sammy Hernandez and K-9 Niko and Detective James Higgins, the man was charged with burglary. Good work officers!
