Today’s Good News
Thanks
to the clever thinking of Third Precinct
Detective Greg Sullivan, several burglary victims had their property
recovered and four burglars were arrested in the past few weeks. Detective
Sullivan investigated 34 cases last month and 10 of them were residential
burglaries in which electronic items were stolen. Detective Sullivan deduced
that the thieves might try to quickly sell their stolen goods so he contacted several
local electronic retail stores to make them aware. His work paid off!
In
two of the crimes, the businesses contacted him about someone trying to sell
the stolen merchandise. His further investigation led to the thieves’
identities and arrests. Thanks to the dedication of Detective Sullivan, who
often came back to work even after he had gone home for the day, he was able to
return nearly $5,000 worth of stolen electronic back to the victims, arrest
four individuals and solve four burglaries with the serving of 10 felony
warrants for burglary and grand larceny. Good work Detective Sullivan!
