Today’s Good News
Kudos
to Officer Robert Taylor who was
named Second Precinct’s Officer of the
Month for September! “Big
Country”--as one citizen calls Officer Taylor—knows how to talk to people and
treat them right. He certainly did that last month when he responded to 151 calls
for service and assisted on 55 calls. He also partnered with his fellow sector
officers to conduct several community roll calls along Jeff Davis and Ruffin
Road as well as several foot patrols and truancy sweeps. His goal is to
interact with citizens, identify neighborhood problems and arrest those causing
the problem.
Officer Taylor always takes great pride in
being a field training officer and teaching the new officers how to do their
job in the best, safest and most efficient manner. During the month, he and his
recent Academy graduate, Officer Raymond
Misegades made several good arrests together of a copper theft suspect, a
burglary suspect and a domestic assault suspect who attempted to hide in the
woods. Thank you, and congratulations Officer Taylor!
