April 16 – April 17, 2014

Today’s Good News
A recent act of kindness by Fourth Precinct Officer Mark James may have seemed like a small thing, but it was a big help to one man and went a long way toward his perception of the Department. On that day, Officer James noticed an elderly man who seemed to have forgotten were he parked his car after attending an event downtown. Officer James took the time to walk around with the man until they were able to find his car. But Officer James didn’t stop there. Being concerned that the man may have difficulty navigating some streets downtown, he also escorted the man safely home.

The citizen was so appreciative and impressed by Officer James’ actions that he sent a letter of appreciation to the Department. In part of his letter the man wrote, “This is to thank and compliment Officer James for his patience, courtesy, and efficiency on this occasion.” Thank you Officer James!
