Today’s Good News
Sometimes being known on the street isn’t
such a good thing, especially if you’re committing crimes. On the other hand,
it’s quite helpful for police officers. Case in point: Second Precinct Officers Cynthia Marlowe and Christina Partin recently
assisted detectives after a convenience store was robbed at gunpoint. After
seeing a surveillance photo of a possible suspect, they immediately recognized
the person and went to speak with him. Further investigation revealed that the
man was not the robber, but he was able to give them enough information to help
them identify the correct suspect.
Once identified, Third Precinct Detective Bill Cutshall created a photo line up from
which the victim identified the man who robbed the store. Warrants were
obtained and the man was arrested. Good work officers and detectives!
