Today’s Good News
Richmond Police K-9 Phantom took a bite out of crime early Tuesday morning when he
searched a building and apprehended a burglary suspect within one minute.
Shortly after 3:30 a.m. yesterday, Second
Precinct Officer John Edwards responded to a burglary call at a building on
Midlothian Turnpike and spotted a man inside briefly before losing sight of
him. K-9 Officer Monty Agee and K-9
Phantom were called to search the building and though they announced that
Phantom would be released several times, the burglar stayed hidden until
Phantom apprehended him trying to escape through a very small window. With the
assistance of Officer Luther Burdette
and Detective Pedro Riddle, the man was taken to the precinct, interviewed
and confessed to breaking into the building to steal items. Good work officers
and K-9 Phantom!
