Today’s Good News
Thanks to the good knowledge of their sector
and the citizens within it, several First
Precinct officers were recently able to make a quick arrest of a man known
only by a nickname. First Precinct
Officer Daniel Bondy was the first officer on scene and he interviewed the
victim who described the suspect by clothing and nickname. After Officer Bondy
relayed the suspect’s description to other officers, Acting Sergeant Russell Pearce IV recognized the individual and
found a photo to show the victim, who quickly identified him as the man who
robbed her. Further investigation revealed the suspect could be at a friend’s
house so Officer Bondy and Detective
George Mihalcoe went to investigate. Though the friend denied the suspect
was there, the officers spotted him hiding inside and safely took him into
custody, charging him with armed robbery as well as a previous robbery. Good
work officers!
