Jan. 22 – Jan. 23, 2014

Today’s Good News
Third Precinct Officer Richard Redford’s hard work, good memory and motivation recently resulted in the arrest of three different people wanted for several violent crimes. During the first incident, Officer Redford was on patrol during the midnight shift when he spotted a vehicle suspected to be involved in an armed robbery the night before. Because of his good memory, he recalled the suspect’s name and vehicle license plate number. He then developed probable cause to stop the vehicle and discovered the driver was indeed the suspect wanted for the armed robbery and he arrested her.

During another patrol, Officer Redford responded to a domestic violence call and immediately recognized a person from their wanted posted hanging up at the precinct. The person was wanted in connection to numerous burglaries in the area and this arrest will surely reduce that problem. In the third incident, Officer Redford was one of the first officers on scene of a violent robbery, but thanks to his quick thinking, he was swiftly able to identify and help find the person responsible. Good work Officer Redford!
