Today’s Good News
Thanks to an observant store clerk and good investigative work by Third Precinct officers recently, a man who broke into a residence and a vehicle to steal items was quickly arrested. Officers Todd Evans, Glendon Cox and Brian Vessel responded to a store on Patterson Avenue to investigate a report of a man using different credit cards to purchase items. Officers spotted the man in the area and detained him to investigate further.

They found several stolen items on his person, including multiple credit cards belonging to other people. The officers then located and spoke with two victims who had just reported their items stolen. After further interviews, the man confessed that he had stolen the items and was subsequently charged with burglary, grand larceny, two counts of credit card fraud and four counts of credit card theft. Good work officers and observant store clerk!
