Today’s Good News
A
citizen recently wrote to thank Third
Precinct Officer Daniel Dixon for his thorough investigation when her
vehicle was struck and the driver fled the scene. Officer Dixon was able to
calm the frantic victim so he could gather a detailed description of the
suspect and the last known direction of travel. Afterward, he conducted a
lengthy search of the area with the assistance of other officers and eventually
located the suspect more than a mile from the crash site.
He
then interviewed the suspect and charged him with several crimes. The victim
expressed the highest level of gratitude for Officer Dixon’s actions and
dedication in making the arrest. “I felt as if Officer Dixon was searching for
the suspect as if he himself was the victim,” she wrote. Good work Officer
Dixon!
