First Precinct Officers Dan Bondy and Matthew
Robinson responded to a burglary alarm at a school on Sunday
night and--thanks to officers’ coordinated response--made three arrests within
minutes! Officer Robinson was the first to spot three teens inside the school
and he quickly broadcast their description and location. Officer Bondy then
circled around to the front of the building and saw the teens hiding behind a
big bush. He detained one of them while the other two ran away. Detectives
Harry Fitzpatrick, Brian Taylor and Officer Stephen Gaines caught the pair
a few blocks away. Further investigation revealed the juveniles had broken into
the school and stolen granola bars and Kool-Aid jammers. They were subsequently
charged and processed accordingly. Good work officers!
