Today’s Good News
First Precinct Officer Joachin Okonkwo recently stopped a vehicle on North 23rd Street for a traffic violation and as he approached, he smelled marijuana coming from the car. Upon further investigation, he found 21 grams of marijuana and 13 pills of a suspected prescription medication that did not belong to the driver. He issued a summons for the marijuana and warrants are pending for the medication. This is an excellent example of proactive policing and going the extra step during an investigation. Good work Officer Okonkwo!
