Oct. 10 – Oct. 11, 2012

Today’s Good News
Kudos to Officer Joseph Milton who was named Fourth Precinct’s Officer of the Month for September! Officer Milton made several felony and misdemeanor arrests last month as well as served several warrants, seized drugs and a firearm.

The gun was seized during one of his Gilpin Court foot pursuits. Officer Milton recognized a known offender with the gun and the man immediately tried to run away. Officer Milton gave chase and directed units to where he was last seen. The suspect was caught with the gun in his hand and arrested on several charges. Officer Milton also made numerous merchant visits at the small corner and neighborhood stores in Gilpin, making him a familiar face to business owners and residents alike.
He is fast becoming the go-to officer in Gilpin. Keep up the great work Officer Milton!
