Sept. 26 – Sept. 27, 2012

Today’s Good News
It started off as a simple investigation, but a recent arrest by Third Precinct officers may solve several car break-ins in the Fan neighborhood. Officers Jennifer Barlow and John Raina responded to a gas station at Broad and Boulevard to investigate a fraud call and detained a man who they suspected of using stolen credit cards at that location. While interviewing the man, he casually dumped a handful of credit cards into the trashcan. Officer Raina retrieved them and traced them back to a woman whose car had been broken into the night before. With the assistance of Detectives William Cutshall, Eric Sandlin, Don Grata and Jack Larry and Sgt. Anthony Papaleo, the man was interviewed and his residence searched. All of that hard work resulted in a confession to numerous car break-ins and the discovery of several stolen items. Good job everyone!
