Sept. 11 – Sept. 12, 2012

Today’s Good News
Kudos to Officer Brian Sheridan who was named Third Precinct’s Officer of the Month for August! Officer Sheridan nabbed a bank robber within three minutes of the crime! After the Gateway Bank on Patterson Avenue was robbed Aug. 13, Officer Sheridan immediately spotted the getaway vehicle on Monument Avenue, provided a detailed description of the driver and followed the car until another officer arrived to assist in the arrest. After they stopped the vehicle, Officer Sheridan found the bank robber hiding in the rear passenger compartment and arrested him without incident. The robber was later identified as being involved in another robbery at the same bank a few months earlier! He eventually confessed to both crimes. Thanks to Officer Sheridan’s keen eye and quick response, a bank robber has been put out of business. Great work, Officer Sheridan!
