Today’s Good News
First Precinct Officer Michael Verbena recently recognized several code violations during a narcotics search of a home on Edwards Avenue. He investigated, documented and submitted them to the Community Assisted Public Safety Unit. A day later, the property was condemned. “Officer Verbena’s problem-solving mindset resulted in a comprehensive solution involving multiple agencies. His professionalism and dedication resulted in removal of the offending individuals from the property and pending potential prosecution f the property owner.”

A male reported an unknown male with a gun tried to rob him.

2/11/11 -- 12:20 a.m.
2800 block of Broad Rock Boulevard
Two males were robbed at gunpoint by two unknown males.

BURGLARY

2/10/11 -- 1:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.
2100 block of Newbourne Street
A Wii game system, games and several other items were stolen from the residence. Two suspects were arrested.

2nd Precinct
BURGLARY

2/10/11 -- 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
1236 Evergreen Ave.
Electronic equipment was stolen from the residence.

3rd Precinct
BURGLARY ATTEMPT

2/9/11 – 2/10/11 -- 12:00 a.m. – 12:50 p.m.
7830 Marilea Drive
An unknown person broke the glass to the rear door in an attempt to gain entry.
