Today’s Good News

It’s often the average patrolling of officers that does the most good in fighting crime in specific locations. For example, Second Precinct Focus Mission Team Officers Robert Langston, Michael Spinos, Daniel Awad, Obie Arrington, Jason Holt, Nicholas Caesar and Richard McTernan were recently walking in a neighborhood off of Walmsley Terrace when a man suddenly took off running after seeing them. As he ran, the officers could hear the sound of items being dropped. The officers gave chase and safely arrested him without incident. As they retraced his steps, they recovered drugs and an illegal firearm as the man is a convicted felon and the gun was reported stolen. Further investigation revealed the man also fits the description of a recent robbery suspect. Detectives were notified of that fact, the man was charged with several crimes and further investigation is ongoing. Good work officers!
