Today’s Good News
K9 Officer Turner James Turner and K9 Arek recently responded to Belle Isle at night to help find a stabbing suspect. The Department’s Aviation Unit had located a heat source on the island, but needed help tracking. Officer Turner gave several warnings, which resulted in multiple movements of the heat source. K9 Arek tracked the movements and eventually sniffed out the hiding person. Though the person was not the stabbing suspect, he was arrested for trespassing, possession of marijuana and having a concealed weapon. Good work!
