Today’s Good News

First Precinct Officers Robert Hedman and Gaetano Drago were recently patrolling on Cary Street when they saw a vehicle with one headlight behind them. They pulled over and allowed the vehicle to pass them and noticed part of the windshield was smashed in. They inquired with the Division of Emergency Communication if there were any hit and runs and learned the vehicle was wanted for striking a pedestrian minutes earlier. They stopped the vehicle and arrested the driver. These officers used good investigative instinct and keen observation skills to apprehend a drunken driver who had just killed a pedestrian.
