Today’s Good News
For a month and a half, Third Precinct Detective Patrick Ripley investigated four young men for committing a host of crimes, ranging from breaking into vehicles to using stolen credit cards. Detective Ripley worked with Sector Prosecutor Julie McConnell to indict the suspects on 52 charges. Thanks to the hard work of Detective Ripley and Prosecutor McConnell, the four men were arrested, slowing the increase of property crimes in Sector 311.

CRIMES AGAINST PERSONS

ROBBERY

A female reported she was assaulted and robbed by known females.

2nd Precinct
AGGRAVATED SEXUAL BATTERY
12/6/10 -- 6:00 p.m.
3200 block of Broad Rock Boulevard
A juvenile female reported she was assaulted by a known male. An arrest was made.

2nd Precinct
HOMICIDE

12/7/10 -- 8:34 p.m.
4700 block of Lovells Road
A male was found shot to death at the above address.

1700 block of Rosecrest Avenue
A female reported she was shot by a known female. The victim’s injuries are not life-threatening.

A window was smashed to steal a camera from the front seat of a vehicle.

Unknown males entered the residence, vandalized property and stole jewelry and a laptop computer.

A window was smashed to enter the vehicle. No items taken.

BURGLARY

12/3/10 – 12/6/10 -- 2:00 a.m. – 4:45 p.m.
3002 Woodrow Ave.
Copper pipes were stolen from a vacant house.

BURGLARY ATTEMPT

12/6/10 -- 10:24 a.m.
3505 Noble Ave.
Several unknown males tried to break into the residence.

902 St. Paul St.
A 32-inch TV and a black leather jacket were stolen from the residence.
