Today’s Good News

Third Precinct Officers Duane Osbourne, Dustin Holmes, and Corwyn Booker recently responded to a call for service at a motel on Midlothian Turnpike. These officers quickly determined that there appeared to be evidence of illegal drug activity in the motel room. Sgt. Anthony Papaleo and Officer Benjamin Frazer, who were working a violent crime reduction initiative along the Midlothian Corridor, also responded. This group of officers collaborated together and was able to secure the motel room and obtain a search warrant. A search of the room yielded more than $107,000 in cash, more than 1.5 pounds of marijuana and a pistol. The occupant was arrested for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.

Sector 312 officers concluded the initiative with the following results: 69 summonses issued, 27 misdemeanor arrests made, and 12 felony arrests made. They also seized 63 grams of crack cocaine, 1.5 pounds of marijuana, 2 pistols, pills, and more than $110,000 in cash. Good work everyone!
