July 3 – July 5, 2012

Today’s Good News

Richmond Police has made arrests in two of a series of violent robberies and robbery attempts in the city last week. Beginning June 26, there were six robberies or attempted robberies in a span of three-plus days in the city in which the victims also were assaulted. Major Steve Drew said arrests have been made in two of the cases and police have developed strong leads in two others. Police are continuing to seek additional information from the public in all the cases. "I can tell you that each one's isolated," he said. "And I can tell you that some of the progress we've made in clearing these matters is due to good cooperation and citizen involvement."
