Daily Crime Report

Today’s Good News
During the last three months of 2009, Sector 111 had the largest crime reduction in the city. That includes a 29 percent reduction in Major Crime, a 13 percent reduction in violent crime and a 31 percent reduction in property crime. Sector 111 Lt. James Laino says this success was made possible by the collaborative effort between the police and the community.

Crimes Against Persons
3rd AGGRAVATED ASSAULT (x3)

300 block of North Shields Avenue
A male, female and juvenile male reported they were assaulted by a car driven by a known male. An arrest was made.

4th AGGRAVATED ASSAULT
1/7/10 11:05 a.m.
1002 St. James St.
A female reported she was stabbed by a known male. An arrest was made.

1st SEXUAL BATTERY/ABDUCTION
1/7/10 10:00 p.m.
1400 block of North 23rd Street
Family members reported a known male had sexually assaulted a juvenile female. An arrest was made.

2nd ROBBERY
1/7/10 3:35 p.m.
2617 Broad Rock Blvd.
A teenage male reported he was robbed at gunpoint by a known male. An arrest was made.

2nd ROBBERY
1/7/10 11:06 p.m.
5349 Hull St.
A female reported she was robbed at gunpoint by two unknown males.

2nd AGGRAVATED ASSAULT (x3) (SHOOTING)
1/7/10 7:58 p.m.
6426 Elkhardt Road
A male reported he was robbed and shot. A few minutes later, two teenage males arrived at a hospital with gunshot wounds. Their injuries are not life threatening.
