Today’s Good News
Fourth Precinct Officer Prabhat McDonnough-Contreras recently responded to 2nd Avenue for a report of an assault and attempted robbery. After gathering information from the victim, Officer McDonnough-Contreras searched the area and spotted the offender. Though the robber ran, Officer McDonnough-Contreras and Officer Thomas Croce caught and arrested him. Officer McDonnough-Contreras then retraced the robber’s path and recovered a handgun he had thrown while running. The offender was charged with attempted robbery, use of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a convicted felony, carrying a concealed weapon and obstruction of justice. Good job!
