Today’s Good News

Several First Precinct Officers recently responded to a residence on East 16th Street for a report of a stolen computer taken from a nearby vehicle. When they arrived, they spotted marijuana in plain view. When they searched the rest of the home, they discovered about 60 marijuana plants and growing operation tools. They arrested the resident and charged him with possession with intent to distribute marijuana.

3800 block of Rusk Avenue

A teen female reported she was held against her a will by an unknown male who tried to rape her. An arrest was made.

2nd Precinct

ROBBERY/AGGRAVATED ASSAULT (SHOOTING)

11/14/11 1:35 p.m.

300 block of East 33rd Street

A male reported he was robbed and shot by an unknown male. His injuries are not life-threatening.

THEFT FROM MOTOR VEHICLE

11/13/11 – 11/14/11 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 a.m.

1200 block of Lakeview Avenue

A possibly known person entered the vehicle and stole the car stereo.

4th Precinct

BURGLARY

11/15/11 2:00 a.m. – 3:22 a.m.

1300 Altamont Ave.

An unknown person(s) broke into the business and stole liquor.

THEFT FROM MOTOR VEHICLE

11/12/11 – 11/13/11 9:30 p.m. – 1:00 a.m.

4th and East Franklin streets

An unknown person(s) entered the unlocked vehicle and stole a purse.
