Pedestrians should follow these personal safety tips; choose well traveled streets and avoid going through vacant lots, alleys, or deserted areas. Use the buddy system whenever possible. Get to know your neighborhoods where you live and work. Carry your purse close to your body and keep a firm grip on it.
